I always use Japan Wireless mobile modem. It is very reliable and ideal for myself and my wife travelling together. Worked well on the trains we took, as it did last year when I went with my son.. I would not mess about with e-sims because the security technology is in the public domain, In the JW device its is contained internally in the modem. Brilliant piece of tehnology that always works!
