I was very satisfied with the connectivity as there was never a time when I wasn't connected, regardless of where I was in the country, or how deep in the mountain I was. However, that must have draining the battery as it wasn't lasting the whole day sometimes... Thankfully, Japan Wireless provided a battery pod which made the pocket wifi last until you are back to where you can charge everything again.

I had it for 12 days. Great coverage everywhere, from Tokyo to Kawaguchi to Kyoto, Nara and Hiroshima. We recharged during the night, and had enough battery (even though an extra one was provided) for the whole day using navigation/google maps and YouTube/Netflix for the kids. Can only recommend.

Tokyo Narai Koyasan etc .In all situation we always got a hi speed connection that helped us a lot to find on internet the infos we needed to fully enjoy our trip. The box kept its battery charge very well the whole day. The aux battery was only used twice . Would recommend without hesitation.

Easy directions to follow; comes with a power bank. Wifi was strong.

We hired the portable wifi device for our 3 week holiday in Japan and it was fantastic. Fast, reliable and very easy to use, we had it delivered to our hotel and dropped it into the post box at the airport prior to flying home. Highly recommended.
