My two sons and I went travelling in Japan for three weeks. I wasn't enthousiastic about simcards. Then I read about Japan wireless. It was ideal for us. I had it send to our first hotel. The use of it was very simple, we had no problems whatsoever. Good reach and battery. Didn't need to use the powerbank.
