Have your private WiFi with you all the time. No slow public WiFi but awesome fast private WiFi useable on all your devices.

Google translate, google maps and other services are a must have when traveling in Japan. During my 7 weeks trip I never had an issue with the WiFi! Once had a connection issue but the English customer support hotline helped and fixed the issue in under 5 minutes!

I can only recommend getting one of these for your travel in Japan!

This is one of the best decisions I’ve made, the connection was great, the speed was great. I used it all over Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Okinawa. I absolutely would do rent their equipment again

The portable Wifi router is a life-saving device. It provides constant and fast internet access without having to purchase an extra phone SIM card. Moreover, contrary to phones, it can easily accommodate 2-3 tethered devices thanks to its strong battery. The router we used in our trip was functioning perfectly until the point of a massive network failure of Softbank, which created a "blackout" that lasted several days. So, while the idea of the router is indeed excellent, internet accessibility is not always guaranteed due to network failures. Surprisingly, Softbank network failures are not very uncommon in Japan, so it would have been better if Japan Wireless was using another mobile network.

As advertised, this was a great companion for our trip.

Overall great experience with this, would reccommend!

I would use it again when I return to Japan. The pick up and drop off was quick and product was easy and simple to connect.
