Pretty compact if you take it out of the packet. It comes with everything you need and had internet wherever I went. It was honestly a lifesaver.

I went with this wifi because of the good reviews and it didn't disappoint. Very wide and secure coverage even in remote countryside places, and good battery life. I was able to book accommodation, reserve train seats, look up things to do etc. on the fly as I was travelling to many places. Easy to return, just drop it in any parcel post box. If there is one thing, maybe they should hook up with convenience stores at the airport instead of the post office for pick-up of the device. I was arriving after the post office had closed so I had it sent to an address. It would have been good to have my hands on it on arrival at the airport as I had to navigate my way to where I was staying which involved quite a few train transfers. That was very challenging without internet access and i also had to contact the people I was staying with. But overall, very highly recommended.

I rented this unit from Haneda Airport. I had no issues with it during my trip; the speed was fast and the battery lasted all day without need the external battery charger.

As a first time Japan visitor I would have been completely lost without pocket WIFI. Honestly, it is the best thing you can do for making your Japan experience great. It is easy to use and gives you the security you need when you travel in a country where you do not speak the language nor can read the signs. With this little helper you can always check online for instructions, translations and what ever you need. The pick-up and drop-off was very smooth and well organized. I highly recommend it.
