Every time I travel to Japan, I get a pocket wifi to keep connected during my stay. Rather than having to log in to many different hot spots, with the pocket wifi, I log in once and am good for the entire trip. This was the first time renting from Japan Wireless. When there was an issue, the problem was settled very quickly. Other rental companies would have taken a day or two to resolve the issue. Japan wireless had the unit replaced within a couple of hours. Outstanding customer support!!

The MiFi we rented from Japan Wireless was speedy, reliable and the battery life was excellent, although we didn't have to worry about running the battery down because Japan Wireless gave us a back-up battery. We will definitely use Japan Wireless again on our next trip to Japan. Great service and a reasonable price.

The Japan Wireless pocket wifi was a life saver during my 2 week trip. It allowed me to keep my navigation up and running to get to all the places I wanted to be while keeping my phone in Airplane mode to avoid any international charges from my cellular carrier. Operating instructions were very easy to understand and I had no issues with the device. Connectivity was consistent everywhere I visited, which included the top of Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto. Yes it still had perfectly functional connection at the top of the mountain! Depending on how new or old the unit you receive is, your battery mileage may vary so I do recommend keeping it plugged in to a power bank (which JW thoughtfully provided) when you're out exploring. Customer service and communication was stellar at all points of the transaction and I will definitely order the same service again next year when I return. Having never traveled out of country before, visiting Japan was a huge undertaking for me and I am extremely grateful to everyone who made my birthday trip a success. Having reliable connectivity played an enormous part in that, and Japan Wireless made the process very easy from start to finish.
