Getting a simcard was affordable, fast, and convenient with Japan Wireless. I used the airport's free wifi to buy the product. The product was much more affordable than the physical sim card sold at vending machines in the airport. The service was also good. I was able to use the wifi connection in Tokyo. There was slow connection in a few areas near Mt. Fuji but it did not really affect my internet connectivity that much.
I used for 13 days while on a tour around Konshu. No issues.
