This is the second time I've used Japan Wireless, and it worked well everywhere I went. I did have a bit of difficulty on initial setup and reached out to Japan Wireless customer service - they were very responsive and willing to help. It turned out that there was an Android update waiting in the background that was preventing activation of the esim. Once the update completed the esim installed, activated and worked flawlessly throughout my travels in Japan.
