I did not get the initial email with the QR but support was friendly and helpful and cleared that up quickly. Sometimes the internet was a bit slow. But overall, great service!

I highly recommend the Japan Wireless eSIM over other pre-paid options for traveling in Japan. It was reliable for the duration of my stay in Japan and an excellent alternative to a pocket wifi. I would sometimes have to toggle my phone in and out of airplane mode when traveling a long via train, it wouldn't always jump to the next tower without a reset, but this was a minor inconvenience.
