I was skeptical about trying an eSim card since I'd never used one in the past but it was actually very easy. The only thing I did not like it that instead of giving me a new phone number through my eSim, it was using my apple account email to text people and they had no idea who was texting them. In terms of efficiency, though, my cellular connection was great the entire two weeks I was there, even in the subways.
