The eSIM has been a staple for my trip to Japan and has worked very well! It was easy to purchase and installation was fairly straightforwards. My only issue is that the QR code download meant I needed to scan it from another device, so in the airport I had to unpack my work phone and put the QR code on there, so I could scan it with my personal phone and install the eSIM.
